YouTube

There are so many different types of videos on YouTube. I like the fact that there isn't anything to download in order to look at the videos, although in order to share a video you need some type of device. So when I win the video camera at the end of project play I just might try to add a video to YouTube.

There are may ways in which libraries can use YouTube. You can use it for an
online contest, as was done with the infosoup contest, and for information about the library.

I think that I may embed the Julie Andrews video on the hpl website during National Library Week. I was going to put a link to the YouTube video but this might get people to look at it more. Ok, so I couldn't figure it out seeing as I am sooooo techie impaired
so I will try it again when I have more time.

Screencast

Screencasts would be very helpful at the library in directing staff and patrons who need visual instruction. I think a screencast on how to place holds or check your account in the catalog may be very helpful. Someday when I have lots of time and extra help I may attempt to do just that, or I might set up a screencast to help staff in the use of millennium.
